Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-16
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of inrok.in (the “Service”), a managed tunneling service for self-hosters and developers built on top of open-source zrok and OpenZiti. The Service is currently offered as a free public beta.
The Service is operated by Suraj Wadje, a sole proprietor in India (the “Operator”, “we”, “us”). Contact: support@inrok.in.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Definitions
- Service — the inrok.in website (
inrok.in), the dashboard atapp.inrok.in, the zrok controller we operate, and any related APIs. - User, you — the natural person who creates an account and uses the Service.
- Account — your registration on the Service.
- Tunnel — a public or private zrok share you create through the Service.
- Content — any data, files, or traffic that passes through a Tunnel you operate.
- Plan — the bandwidth and tunnel quota assigned to your Account. The beta ships a single free Plan with 100 GiB per month and 3 active Tunnels.
3. Account responsibilities
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an Account.
- You must provide accurate signup information and keep your email address current so we can reach you for security and service notices.
- You are responsible for the security of your password and for all activity that occurs under your Account.
- Accounts are personal and single-user during the beta. You may not share credentials or resell access. Team and organization features are planned for a later release.
- You will notify us at support@inrok.in promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your Account.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
The Service is built for self-hosters, homelabbers, and developers who need a public, link-shareable tunnel to expose services they own and operate. The following Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes what you may and may not do with a Tunnel.
Permitted use
- Personal self-hosted services you own — Jellyfin, Plex, Navidrome, Immich, Nextcloud, photo backups, document storage, file sharing of content you own or have a licence to distribute.
- Webhook testing, local development demos, sharing work-in-progress with clients, dev tunnelling.
- Personal homelab services — game servers (Minecraft, Valheim, Palworld, similar), home automation dashboards, status pages, private utility tools.
Prohibited use
- Distributing copyrighted media, software, or other content that you do not own and do not have a licence to share. Self-hosting your own legitimate Jellyfin / Plex / Immich library is fine; hosting a public piracy mirror or commercial redistribution of someone else's media is not.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), content that incites violence, hate speech, or anything illegal under Indian law.
- Malware distribution, command-and-control infrastructure for malicious software, phishing sites, credential-harvesting landing pages.
- Tunnels used to attack other systems — credential stuffing, scraping at a rate that harms third-party services, denial-of-service traffic, spam-sending mail relays.
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent bandwidth caps, abuse defences, or rate limits.
- Reselling the Service or providing it to others as a white-labelled product.
Takedown procedure
We respond to good-faith abuse reports and copyright notices. If you believe a Tunnel is being used in breach of this AUP, email support@inrok.in with:
- the public URL or subdomain of the Tunnel,
- a description of the violation and any supporting evidence (screenshots, log excerpts, URLs),
- your contact details and, for copyright complaints, a good-faith statement of ownership or authorization.
We aim to acknowledge reports within 3 business days and to act on verified violations within 7 business days. We will notify the Tunnel operator of any takedown action and accept counter-notices at the same email address.
5. Service availability
We operate the Service on a best-effort basis. The beta does not carry a service-level agreement (SLA); we target high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance windows will be announced by email where practical.
6. Beta status and service changes
The Service is in beta. Features, bandwidth caps, tunnel limits, and (when introduced) pricing may change. We will give reasonable notice — by email or in-product banner — before any material change that reduces what your existing Account receives.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its dashboard, marketing site, API, and associated source code we author, is owned by the Operator. Open components used by the Service (zrok, OpenZiti, and similar) remain governed by their respective open-source licences.
You retain ownership of your Content. By using the Service you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to route, transmit, cache, and store your Content as necessary to operate the Service and to enforce these Terms. We do not claim any other rights to your Content.
8. User content disclaimer
We do not inspect the body of traffic passing through your Tunnels. We do collect operational metadata (bandwidth bytes, request counts, timestamps) and audit-log entries needed to operate the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for the Content you transmit through your Tunnels and for the legality of that Content in the jurisdictions where you and your end-users are located.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your Account if you breach the AUP, if your usage threatens the stability of the Service, if we are required to do so by law, or — with reasonable notice — at our discretion. On termination, your Tunnels will stop serving traffic. Account data is retained and then deleted per the retention windows in the Privacy Policy. You may terminate your Account at any time by emailing support@inrok.in; a self-service deletion flow is in development.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim (₹0 for free-beta users). In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from any third-party claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or the AUP.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice; minor edits are reflected here with the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Service after a change becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
